SnapGene is a feature-packed application that allows teachers and dedicated students to analyze DNA strings and enzymes. This molecular biology utility can generate detailed DNA maps that can be exported and shared with colleagues.  NOTE: You need to request a free trial license in order to try SnapGene. Requirements: · Memory: 1 GB RAM · Hard Disk: 250 MB available disk space · Display: 1024 x 768 or higher resolution Limitations: · 30 days trial period What’s New  Visualize Gaps in Alignments: · If an aligned sequence has a gap, you can now see the position of the gap in Map view. Jump Past Gaps in Alignments: · New buttons enable you to jump past gaps from one aligned region to the next. Show DNA Molecular Weight: · The molecular weight of a DNA construct can be displayed in an accessory window. If you select a region of the DNA, the molecular weight of the selection is displayed as well. Export a Selection: · Export a selected region, such as an individual feature, to GenBank or other formats.
